Adding tea to lemon has various actual and claimed benefits. Lemon juice is high in vitamin C: and can be added either as the juice or as a slice to top.
A number of companies also sell lemon flavoured-tea (with fragments of dried peel in the tea).
Tea with lemon Recipe
- 1 tablespoon black tea leaves or 2 black tea bags
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1/3 cup caster sugar
- 6 cups boiling water
- lemon slices, optional, to serve
