In 1925 brothers Robert and Pierre Dammann, established the commercial enterprise known as Dammann Frères. An ancestor, Dammann, mentioned for the first time in 1692 had, by royal order, been given exclusive privilege "to sell, let sell and debit, to the exclusion of all others, all coffees (…), tea, sherbet, and chocolate.
Their teas blend Ceylon Tea, Darjeeling, Japanese Tea, and Chinese Tea - white, green and black: there are also fruit infusions and Herbal Teas.
They developed the Cristal tea bag.
