Hey Tea Wiki!
One of our current projects is to look into updating the page header area - that is, the area which currently contains the wordmark, local navigation and contribute button.
We want to make sure the page header area is as useful as it can be - both for the newbie who has never visited your wiki before and for the experienced editors. We're also keen on making the mobile and desktop experience feel a bit more connected.
We've been spending some time looking into what improvements could be made, and you can read much more about our research and findings on this Community Central forum post.

We used to sell Lapsang Souchong Biscuits and loved them.
Here is a recipe to make them yourself. To be honest, you could replace the particular tea with any other you fancied trying.
Ingredients • 200g/7oz unsalted butter, softened • 200g/7oz caster sugar • 2 tsp Lapsang Souchong tea (grind the tea leaves to a fine size using a pestle and mortar) • 1 large free-range egg, lightly beaten • 400g/14oz plain flour, plus extra for dusting • Baking parchment

Oolong is a tea that originated and is primarily grown in China and Taiwan. This tea varies in both flavor and its fermentation process than loose black tea and loose green tea. The fermentation process involves hand-picking the tea leaves from the Camellia sinensis plant, withering the leaves under natural sunlight, undergoing an oxidation process, which is done at varying levels ranging from 8% to 80% and a roasting process. It's freaking cold outside in Michigan right now. The weather's predicted to drop to -11 overnight. Yet, I'm about to make another cup of iced jasmine tea.
Why? Because the cold weather means a lot of dry air which means a lot of dry skin. My lips are chapped (eventhough I haven't even ventured outside), and my hands feel like alligator skin. Hydration seems especially important in winter. I'm not fond of plain, old water, and I've outgrown my taste for pop, so that leaves tea. I also love jasmine since the fragrance reminds me of summertime and warmer days.
So while other people are guzzling hot chocolate, I'll be brewing up a batch of my favorite all-season beverage: iced tea.

I see that nobody has posted on any of these for a month and a half, and that person seems to have quit any involvement with this wiki since posting. Hi all, I'm here for a project I'm doing on tea, I've always been an avid tea drinker, but now I finally found this wiki. I just had to make a goals list for here as I did with The Sims Wiki:
- Reach 700 edits.
- Add at least 30 wanted pages.
- Become an Administrator.
- Become popular here.
- Contribute as much as possible.
As in all of my wiki's that I edit and administer, I put my all into the editing that goes on there. And I'm proud to say that I've never been blocked before, only warned once. :)
Anyway, I'll be around here for some time, as I am known frequently to flit from wiki to wiki, but always remembering each wiki and visiting every now and then. Good luck to me!

I was thinking that we should consider activating the new MessageWall here at WikiTea. Currently, it will only impact the user talk namespace. However, it will eventually be rolled out to all talk namespaces at Wikia. So, we might as well get used to it here at WikiTea now.
Plus, I think that, while it is not a good fit for some wikis, the MessageWall would be a good fit here at WikiTea. Thanks!
